So love this. Have you ever considered travel writing? Besides magazines and newspapers, there are literary journals that specialize in this type of story.

What a beautiful story! If more people did this, the world would be different, there'd be a culture of humane caring. How do we get there? We start somewhere with your random acts of kindness and hope we aren't blown away by the evils out there.

Thanks, Roz. So true. I think if we all work to remember the kindness of people, we can create a tsunami of gratitude to counteract all the fear and hatred. Got to start somewhere ❤️❤️

Learned a “…smattering of Japanese” said no one ever, BUT for the most intelligent of minds. This reminds me of a kind middle eastern gas station owner who allowed me the use of his car when I locked my keys in my running vehicle at a pump. Great story!

Ah, Camilla, the truly intelligent would remember what they learn long term and not be left with nothing but Arigato Gozaimasu! Your experience too is so amazing too. Thanks for sharing ❤️🙏🏼

That was lovely to read. Felt like I was there with you. 🙏🏼

ps: and the few that I have read, are all fun reading. I just don’t get to read them regularly. I told myself just now, I will. Love the photos and childhood anecdotes all woven into the narrative.
